Michael Downey DVM joined the Twin Forks Clinic team in 1986. Dr. Downey is a Merna, Nebraska native, attended undergraduate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 1986. Dr. Downey’s goal was to get back to the Midwest in a mixed animal practice, and the tri-state region was a perfect choice. Dr. Downey and his wife Jeanne reside east of Benkelman, Nebraska. Their children are Jill, Amanda and Paul James.
Rodney Auffet DVM joined the Twin Forks Clinic team in 1995. Dr. Rod was born in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He earned a Bachelors degree in Animal Science in 1991 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 from Oklahoma State University. He was also honored as a top ten freshman at Oklahoma State University and was a member of FarmHouse fraternity. His family consists of Sonya and Nathan, so he also answers inquiries directed to Nate’s dad or Sonya’s husband.
Justin Gdanitz DVM joined the Twin Forks Clinic team in 2005. A Burwell, Nebraska native, Justin graduated from with a Bachelors degree in Veterinary Science in 2001 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2005. Dr. Justin (as he is called) enjoys mixed animal practice and the diversity and challenges that come with it. Justin resides in Wray, Colorado with his wife Julie and children; Claire, Gus, Lauren, Cory and Nora.
Dr. Darcy Hafner, who started in May of 2016, is the most recent addition to the Twin Forks team. Born and raised on the high deserts of Utah, Darcy dreamed of green fields and fat cattle and subsequently moved east to Kansas. She obtained her undergraduate education at Hutchinson Community College as a member of the livestock judging team, and at Kansas State University, where she worked at the dairy and bull units. In the Spring of 2016, she was conferred with her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Oklahoma State University and walked with research and academic honors. Dr. Darcy and her husband Tanner Hafner have made their home in Wray, Colorado and are excited to be a part of the community.
Amanda Konen DVM, joined the Twin Forks Clinic team in 2021. Dr. Konen grew up in Benkelman, NE and attended Hastings College and obtained a degree in Biology. She then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Iowa State University Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2018. After graduation Dr. Konen practiced in a rural mixed animal practice in North Central Texas until returning “home”. Dr. Konen is married to Nick and they have two daughters, Joanie and Max, and a playful Labrador, Bonnie.
Dr. Felicia Pandorf started with the Twin Forks Clinic in June of 2024. She grew up on her family’s farm outside of Shelby, Nebraska. She is an alumna of Aquinas Catholic High School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. After earning her Bachelor’s, she graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Iowa State University Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Additionally, she trained in acupuncture through Chi University. Dr. Pandorf has a wide variety of interests inside and outside of veterinary medicine. She enjoys the variety of mixed animal practice from small mammals to beef cattle and has special interests in production animal informatics, preventative medicine, nutrition, and integrative medicine. Dr. Pandorf also enjoys gardening, baking, camping, and hiking. Sometimes her cat Frankie goes along on her hikes.
